IT Technician with expertise in operations and network

We are looking for an IT Technician to work in the public sector, responsible for daily IT operations, network management, user support, and information security. The role offers an opportunity to develop and take responsibility in a supportive work environment.
Main requirements:
- High school education or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant work experience, or a university degree in IT (e.g., computer engineering) or equivalent plus at least 2 years relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security
- Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
- Familiarity with incident management systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow)
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily IT operations run smoothly
- Troubleshoot and assess how to best fix issues
- Act as local IT technician managing operation and development of authority's local network and communication between computers in the same building
- Provide user support
- Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, sometimes globally
- Test new products and inform users about updates
- Install and configure computers managing network communication, such as routers, servers, and workstations
- Ensure IT operations security, e.g., install firewalls
- Install software and adapt it to the network
- Manage technical equipment in conference rooms, e.g., video meeting systems
- Handle backup management
- Administer standard systems such as mail and calendar
- Administer backup, storage, and application servers
Required hard skills:
- Knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, information security
- Experience with MS Office or similar
- Knowledge of incident management systems (e.g., Easit GO, ServiceNow)
