IT Object Leader

The IT Object Leader is responsible for managing the IT operational environments and digital work environments within KTH's digitalization portfolios. The role involves close collaboration with unit leaders to ensure optimal integration with organizational needs and goals, including planning, execution, governance, and supplier management.
Main requirements:
- Relevant academic education
- At least 5 years experience in a leadership role at operational level (e.g., project leader or management leader in IT)
- At least 5 years active work experience with networks, client platforms, data centers, virtualization, physical infrastructure, and/or storage solutions
- At least 3 years experience in financial follow-up
- Experience developing and implementing routines, processes, and working methods
- Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Implementing the object's annual plan
- Designing and maintaining a three-year planning horizon
- Ensuring clear goals and efficient work distribution within the object organization
- Steering, leading, and following up on the object's activities cost-effectively and structurally
- Ensuring availability and functionality of IT components and technical connections per agreed service levels
- Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal guidelines
- Managing and following up external suppliers according to current agreements
Required hard skills:
- IT infrastructure knowledge including networks, client platforms, data centers, virtualization, physical infrastructure, and storage solutions
- Leadership and operational management experience in IT
- Financial follow-up and budget management
- Process and routine development and implementation
- Swedish and English language proficiency
Recommended hard skills:
- Higher education of at least 3 years
- Experience leading assignments using agile principles
- Experience leading IT portfolios, PMO, project offices or similar in large organizations
- Knowledge of PM3 governance model
- Experience working in processoriented organizations (ITIL or equivalent)
- Experience with strategy, goals, planning, and follow-up
- Needs and requirements analysis experience
- Experience working in higher education or government agencies
