Main requirements:
- Documented commercial experience with Node.js ecosystem
- Willingness to learn and work with Ruby codebase
- Experience in data-driven product development with short iterations and experimentation
- Experience working in team settings, preferably in medium to large multicultural/global companies
- Proficiency in several programming languages and ecosystems, including meritorious frameworks such as NestJS, Ruby on Rails, Typescript, React, and Next.js
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to continuous improvement and new product development within the product team
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to shape vision and technical direction
- Participate in architecture, implementation, and prioritization discussions and decisions
- Own code quality, performance, and maintainability through testing, reviews, and refactoring
- Support and maintain production systems ensuring reliability and stability
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to a collaborative team culture
- Play a central role in advancing the Node.js implementation in production services
Required hard skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Node.js and its ecosystem and frameworks (e.g., NestJS)
- Proficiency with JavaScript (ES5, ES6+) and asynchronous programming
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Skills in testing and debugging Node.js applications
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Docker, CircleCI, including deployment and scaling of Node.js services
