Lead and coordinate the digitalization efforts at the university library of KTH, Northern Europe's leading technical university. Develop digital services and processes for researchers, students, and KTH's leadership in collaboration with IT departments.
Main requirements:
  • University degree in library and information science, systems science, or other relevant higher education.
  • At least two years recent experience working at a university or a research-supporting organization.
  • Current experience leading groups, such as project leader, coordinator, or other supervisory roles.
  • Experience working at the intersection of operational units and IT, with understanding of translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate daily operations according to object plan and budget.
  • Plan and prioritize activities within assigned framework.
  • Prepare decision basis and report to object owners; participate in object steering group.
  • Participate in change management and projects related to digitalization.
  • Perform tasks within the objects' operations based on expertise and organizational needs.
Required hard skills:
  • Knowledge of digitalization processes and metadata, preferably in the context of academic libraries or data flow management.
  • Experience in leading teams or projects.
  • Strong understanding of the interface between business needs and IT solutions.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English communication.
Recommended hard skills:
  • Education or certification in project management or operational methodologies (e.g., PM3).
  • Experience in development work within library operational areas.
  • Experience as an object leader or operations manager.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies.
Soft skills:
