IT Architect – Focus on IAM at Region Blekinge

We are looking for a knowledgeable and driven IT architect with specialist expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our Development and IT team at Region Blekinge. The role involves developing and managing the region's IAM architecture to meet future security needs through strategic and operational duties, including design, implementation, and collaboration across IT and security functions.
Main requirements:
  • University education in IT security, information security, systems science or equivalent competence
  • Documented experience working with IAM solutions, including design and implementation
  • Knowledge of relevant information security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST
  • Experience with technologies like SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, RBAC, ABAC
  • Understanding of public sector laws and regulations, including GDPR
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the region's IAM architecture to meet future security requirements
  • Develop strategic roadmaps and lead IAM-related change projects
  • Design and implement solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), federation, access control, and lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop and validate solution proposals
  • Support departments in designing IAM solutions balancing accessibility with security
  • Educate and support the organization in IAM concepts and modern security principles
  • Provide expert knowledge in projects where IAM and information security are central
  • Participate in developing process organizations linked to information supply and security
Required hard skills:
  • IAM solution design and implementation
  • Knowledge of security standards ISO 27001, NIST
  • Technologies such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, RBAC, ABAC
  • Information security in public sector context, GDPR understanding
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience in the public sector, preferably healthcare
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, TOGAF
  • Knowledge of PAM (Privileged Access Management), IGA (Identity Governance and Administration), and cloud-based IAM solutions
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API security
