Experienced Electrical Engineering System Design Engineer role in the automotive industry focused on system design for vehicle architectures and configuration technologies. Responsible for design, development, testing, and support of configuration software modules and embedded system solutions.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience as EE System Designer preferably for commercial vehicles
  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or similar
  • Experience with architectural work, module and interface creation in design tools
  • Experience in Software, Functional or System Development within automotive industry
  • Experience handling requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team on system design involving new and legacy vehicle architectures
  • Develop, improve and support configuration parameters for multiple platforms
  • Design and implement configuration software module
  • Provide guidelines for ECU applications using configuration service interfaces
  • Conduct testing and create automated test methods
  • Provide support and create new processes
  • Explore alternative EE concepts in early project phases and mature current products
  • System level design of embedded systems with logical design of software and hardware components based on Autosar
  • Decide on ECUs and communication buses
  • Provide technical expertise and system knowledge to support development teams
Required hard skills:
  • Embedded systems with extensive system and function design experience
  • Understanding of application software, SW platforms such as Autosar Platform, Embedded Linux, electronics (ECUs), electrical components and hardware
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and onboard communication technologies and protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet
  • Knowledge of architectural work and design tools
  • Experience with System weaver, Jira, Autosar
  • Knowledge of distributed electrical systems and electrical architecture
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with TEA2+ architecture or similar automotive architectures
  • Knowledge of Kola
