Junior System Engineer IAM

A role in IT focusing on Identity and Access Management (IAM) to support a municipality's digital development. The position involves learning and contributing to user account and access management, automations, troubleshooting, and collaborating within an engaged IAM team at Halmstad Municipality's IT-Service.
Main requirements:
  • Recently completed upper secondary or post-secondary education in IT or programming
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving motivation
  • Ability to work in a team and eagerness to develop professionally
  • Basic or some practical experience in IT-related work, such as internships, studies, projects, or personal interest
  • Basic knowledge of user management in Active Directory or Entra ID
  • Experience with databases and scripting (e.g., SQL, PowerShell)
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English both spoken and written
  • Valid driver’s license (B category)
Responsibilities:
  • Support handling user accounts, roles, and permissions in systems
  • Learn automation and control of accounts and permissions via One Identity Manager
  • Assist with troubleshooting and configuration changes alongside experienced colleagues and consultants
  • Participate in projects related to security, access, and digitalization
  • Document work and contribute to improving routines
  • Collaborate with colleagues in IT operations, information security, and support
Required hard skills:
  • Basic knowledge of user management with Active Directory or Entra ID
  • Experience with databases such as SQL
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell
  • Basic understanding of IT and programming concepts
  • Proficient in Swedish and English
Recommended hard skills:
  • Basic knowledge of IAM concepts
  • Familiarity with API integrations such as REST or SOAP
  • Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow
  • Interest in IT security, identity management, and technical systems
  • Experience documenting technical work clearly
  • Interest in learning advanced tools like One Identity Manager
