As an Infrastructure Engineer at Stegra Boden AB, you will lead the development and operations of advanced, hyper-converged digital infrastructure supporting the Digital Factory. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, resilient, and innovative infrastructure solutions including fully redundant datacenters to drive productivity, safety, and sustainability. Main requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Computer Science (Bachelor or Master’s).
  • Expertise administering Linux and Windows systems.
  • Several years of experience in modern datacenter operations.
  • Hands-on experience managing virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Nutanix).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with Active Directory and user management.
  • Performance monitoring and troubleshooting of hosts, servers, databases, virtual machines, containers.
  • Good knowledge of networks and network protocols.
  • Experience with data backup solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity best practices, threat analysis, security standard implementation, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee deployment, commissioning, and configuration of hardware and software digital infrastructure.
  • Configure and operate physical servers, storage, backup systems, datacenter support functions, and virtualization (on-premises and cloud).
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors to design infrastructure and implement best practices.
  • Define operational processes for monitoring and maintaining secure, efficient, and reliable infrastructure.
  • Develop maintenance and support plans to minimize downtime.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize infrastructure requirements, ensuring safety, productivity, and sustainability.
  • Document best practices and mentor team members.
  • Participate in on-call rotation supporting 24/7 critical infrastructure operations.
