Hybrid Cloud Architect

The Hybrid Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and governing the organization's hybrid cloud environments, spanning compute, networking, storage, security, and platform automation. This hands-on role focuses on building scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions across AWS and on-premises infrastructure to enable secure and efficient business innovation. The architect collaborates closely with Platform Engineers, Security, Developers, and Architects to deliver infrastructure aligned with business and compliance requirements.
Main requirements:
  • Experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure architecture
  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect Associate (Professional level is a plus)
  • Proven experience with AWS technologies including multi-account architectures, VPCs, IAM, EKS
  • Experience with Azure or GCP is a plus
  • Experience working in hybrid environments with both cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Ability to design, maintain, and migrate workloads between cloud and on-premises
  • Strong networking, security, and automation background
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and observability practices
Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
  • Lead end-to-end design and implementation of on-prem infrastructure with cloud integration where appropriate
  • Execute cloud and on-prem migrations and modernizations, including roadmap and strategy definition
  • Develop and enforce governance policies for cloud provisioning, cost management, tagging, and lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot cloud and on-prem incidents and misconfigurations
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve performance and reliability
  • Support integration of hybrid environments including connectivity, workload placement, and identity federation
  • Architect and maintain networking topologies including VPCs, VPNs, subnets, routing, DNS, and load balancers
  • Implement IAM policies, RBAC, security groups, and encryption following Zero Trust principles
  • Collaborate to ensure compliance with GDPR and gaming regulations
  • Integrate threat detection, auditing, and remediation
  • Manage Kubernetes platforms (EKS, GKE, AKS) lifecycle and scaling
  • Partner with platform teams to enhance CI/CD infrastructure and ephemeral environments
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery
  • Lead improvements in monitoring and observability, evaluate tooling
  • Monitor cloud usage and enforce FinOps practices
  • Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, patching, scaling, and teardown
  • Implement tagging and observability tools for operational visibility
  • Advise engineers and stakeholders on best practices
  • Align infrastructure architecture with application and data needs
  • Mentor teams adopting cloud native, on-prem, and hybrid solutions
  • Maintain documentation and internal standards
  • Lead proof-of-concepts and evaluate emerging cloud technologies
  • Stay current on industry trends in architecture, tooling, and security
  • Identify architectural and operational improvement opportunities balancing cost, reliability, performance, and stability
Required hard skills:
