As a Data Scientist at Embark Studios, you will focus on gaming analytics to provide insights and support for game titles, optimizing player experience and aiding the game development team with actionable data-driven insights. This role allows you to combine a passion for gaming with expertise in data analytics.
Main requirements:
- Collaborate closely with game designers and business stakeholders
- Research and develop metrics and performance indicators
- Extract, analyze, and communicate insights from gameplay data
- Design telemetry logging systems
- Communicate results clearly to game and commercial teams
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with game designers to improve player experience
- Analyze gameplay data to generate actionable insights
- Develop and maintain telemetry logging
- Engage with stakeholders to understand data needs and present findings
Required hard skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database querying, preferably with tools like BigQuery
- Experience with ETLs and data pipelines
- Proficiency in Python scripting for data manipulation and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills
