OHB Sweden is seeking a skilled Cryptography Specialist to develop cutting-edge encryption and decryption solutions for S-Band, X-Band, and Ka-Band communications on small satellite platforms.
Main requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cryptography, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in cryptographic systems development and implementation
  • Strong understanding of satellite communication bands (S-Band, X-Band, Ka-Band)
  • Proficiency in software development and simulation tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze user security requirements and relevant laws for encryption/decryption and cybersecurity in national and international contexts
  • Develop threat scenarios and comprehensive cryptographic concepts to mitigate threats
  • Evaluate hardware vs. software-on-the-chip solutions for On-Board Computer units and specify crypto subsystem components
  • Perform market research to identify crypto hardware suitable for small satellites focusing on TRL, power demand, mass, data rates, and security levels
  • Develop system architecture documentation with block diagrams and flowcharts for crypto subsystems differentiated by communication band
  • Define software development plans and develop a software simulator extending heritage satellite simulators for crypto subsystem modeling
