We are seeking an experienced developer who wants to improve life for other developers by supporting internal teams in establishing and further developing a developer platform based on Backstage. This senior consultant role involves knowledge transfer, technical guidance, and enabling teams to take ownership. The ideal candidate is humble, unpretentious, collaborative, and skilled at simplifying complexity.
Main requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in software development
  • Experience with Backstage or strong interest in quickly becoming an expert
  • Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and cloud services (Azure)
  • Comfortable supporting teams, sharing knowledge, and documenting solutions
  • Enjoys working cross-functionally with product teams and architects
Responsibilities:
  • Support internal teams to establish and develop a developer platform based on Backstage
  • Transfer knowledge and provide technical guidance
  • Help teams take ownership of platform aspects
  • Enable and facilitate development rather than just building
Required hard skills:
  • Backstage platform expertise (or strong eagerness to master it rapidly)
