Join NAISS, the national academic infrastructure for supercomputers in Sweden hosted by Linköping University, as a data science expert. This role involves developing techniques for large-scale data processing, managing key reference data life cycles, establishing data repositories, and collaborating within the Swedish ecosystem and European networks to promote FAIR data principles and AI development. Work includes ensuring compliance with GDPR and other legislation regarding sensitive personal data.
Main requirements:
- Completed academic education at master's level
- Experience in research within data science and artificial intelligence
- Experience compiling, curating, and working with large datasets
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English
- Ability to convincingly convey the importance and engagement of complex scientific projects to various stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Develop techniques for large-scale data processing, particularly managing life cycles of key reference data
- Establish data repositories important for Swedish usage
- Collaborate with the Swedish ecosystem including infrastructures and large users to adhere to FAIR principles
- Develop European 'Data Spaces' platforms to work with AI methods on data
- Develop methods for correctly handling sensitive personal data in accordance with GDPR and other legislation
Required hard skills:
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Research experience in data science and AI
- Experience working with large datasets
- Proficient English communication
Recommended hard skills:
- PhD in data science or a relevant field
- Experience from data science projects
- Experience working at multinational level and with international organizations and funders
- Experience with EU and/or EuroHPC projects
- Experience establishing large databases and data repositories
- Experience collaborating with companies in data science
- Knowledge of data and AI challenges especially in life sciences, materials science, autonomous systems, climate research or large language models
