Main requirements:
  • Documented commercial experience with Node.js ecosystem
  • Willingness to learn and work with Ruby codebase
  • Experience in data-driven product development with short iterations and experimentation
  • Experience working in team settings, preferably in medium to large multicultural/global companies
  • Proficiency in several programming languages and ecosystems, including meritorious frameworks such as NestJS, Ruby on Rails, Typescript, React, and Next.js
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and new product development within the product team
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to shape vision and technical direction
  • Participate in architecture, implementation, and prioritization discussions and decisions
  • Own code quality, performance, and maintainability through testing, reviews, and refactoring
  • Support and maintain production systems ensuring reliability and stability
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Play a central role in advancing the Node.js implementation in production services
Required hard skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Node.js and its ecosystem and frameworks (e.g., NestJS)
  • Proficiency with JavaScript (ES5, ES6+) and asynchronous programming
  • Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL
  • Skills in testing and debugging Node.js applications
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Docker, CircleCI, including deployment and scaling of Node.js services
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
