Main requirements:
  • Design and implement FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog.
  • Test, verify, and integrate FPGA systems to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing FPGA designs for performance and reliability.
  • Work independently managing complete development from requirements to delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop FPGA code and hardware designs.
  • Perform block level and high-level verification using testbenches and hardware verification modules.
  • Troubleshoot designs and perform root cause analyses.
  • Integrate and create IP components using Vivado IPI.
  • Automate tasks using scripting languages like TCL.
  • Work with Ethernet-based protocols such as PTP, HSR, and PRP.
  • Apply digital signal processing theory in FPGA implementations (IIR and FIR filters).
Required hard skills:
  • High-level RTL coding and synthesis
  • Block-level and top-level verification
  • Debugging and fault analysis
  • Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, SD, I2C, SPI/QSPI DDR, ADCs, optical transceivers
  • Proficiency with Xilinx/AMD and Altera/Intel toolchains (ISE, Vivado, Quartus)
  • Simulation and verification tools such as ModelSim/QuestaSim, Vivado logic analyzer, Chipscope, SignalTap
  • Robust CDC strategies
  • Timing and area optimization techniques
  • Practical lab experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, DVMs
  • Functional verification using UVM/SystemVerilog/UVM or OSVVM
