The Lead Data Engineer at Stegra is responsible for overseeing and streamlining the Asset Information Management (AIM) system to ensure it serves as the trusted single source of truth for all plant asset information. This role leads efforts in maintaining data accuracy, designing automated workflows, integrating advanced digital systems, and driving innovation and collaboration to enhance operations and maintenance processes.
Main requirements:
- Maintain and oversee the AIM system ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to update and validate asset data.
- Mentor junior data engineers and enhance team collaboration.
- Lead ETL implementation and develop automation scripts.
- Conduct regular data audits and enforce data governance and industry compliance.
- Create dashboards, predictive models, and analytics for actionable insights.
- Apply advanced data analysis to identify and recommend process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Asset Information Management system as a single source of truth.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to update and validate data.
- Mentor junior data engineers.
- Implement ETL processes and automation scripts.
- Support advanced software tools for efficient asset management.
- Perform audits and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Develop dashboards and predictive analytics tools.
- Identify operational enhancement opportunities through data analysis.
Required hard skills:
- Experience with asset information management systems (ideally AVEVA AIM).
- Strong knowledge of industry standards in asset management.
- Proven experience applying AI in data engineering, including machine learning and NLP.
- Programming skills in Python, R, or Java.
- Proficiency with ETL tools like Apache Airflow and Informatica.
- Expertise in workflow automation.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Ability to work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
