IT Technician with expertise in operations and networks

An opportunity to work as an IT technician in the public sector, handling daily IT operations and network management, supporting users, and ensuring IT security within the organization.
Main requirements:
- Completed upper secondary education or equivalent plus four years of relevant work experience, or a university education in IT (e.g., engineering with computer focus) or equivalent plus at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow).
- Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily IT operations run smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and assess the best ways to resolve faults.
- Serve as local IT technician primarily managing and developing the organization's local network environment and internal communication within the same building.
- Provide user support and assistance.
- Manage data communication, operations, and data security in large network environments, sometimes globally.
- Test new products and inform users about updates.
- Install and configure network communication equipment such as routers, servers, and workstations.
- Work to secure IT operations, e.g., install firewalls.
- Install programs and adapt them to the network environment.
- Technically manage IT equipment in conference areas, for example video meeting systems.
- Handle backup management.
- Administer standard systems such as email and calendars.
- Administrate backup, storage, and application servers.
Required hard skills:
