Seeking an IT Technician to work in the public sector focusing on daily IT operations and network management. This role involves troubleshooting, supporting users, and handling IT infrastructure to ensure secure, efficient communication within the organization.
Main requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant work experience, OR
  • Higher education in IT (e.g., university engineer with data focus) or equivalent IT education with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of incident management systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow).
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily IT operations run smoothly.
  • Perform troubleshooting and evaluate solutions for resolving IT issues.
  • Serve as local IT technician responsible for operating and developing the agency’s local network environment and internal communications within a building.
  • Provide user support and assistance.
  • Manage data communication, operations, and data security in large network environments, sometimes including global networks.
  • Test new products and inform users about updates.
  • Install and configure computers managing network communication such as routers, servers, and workstations.
  • Implement IT operational security (e.g., install firewalls).
  • Install software and adapt it to the network.
  • Technically manage IT equipment in conference areas, such as video meeting systems.
  • Handle backup management.
  • Administer standard systems like mail and calendar.
  • Administer backup, storage, and application servers.
