We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer specialized in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to empower product teams by simplifying application and data workload deployment in a secure and scalable environment. The role involves improving cloud landing zones, developing core platform services, driving automation, and collaborating with stakeholders on architectural solutions.
Main requirements:
  • Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud DNS, IAM, Shared VPC
  • Proven experience architecting, implementing, and optimizing scalable, resilient, secure GCP solutions
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud landing zones encompassing infrastructure, networking, security policies, and access management
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning
  • Strong background in setting up GCP observability solutions (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure platform performance and reliability
Responsibilities:
  • Continuously improve the cloud landing zone (Project Factory) and governance frameworks underpinning product team operations
  • Design and develop core platform services to enhance developer efficiency and productivity (examples: BQ Quota Control, BigQuery Slot Reservations, Workload Identity Federation, Privileged Access Management, patch automation)
  • Drive automation and self-service capabilities across the platform to reduce operational overhead and empower development teams
  • Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders providing strategic guidance, best practices, and architectural recommendations for GCP-based solutions
