TELUS Digital is seeking Navajo language annotators for a writing and annotation project that involves completing paragraphs and assessing transcribed texts for linguistic quality and accuracy.
Main requirements:
- Native speaker of Navajo
- Currently located in the United States
- Pass English Fluency Test
- Have access to a computer (desktop/laptop) and stable internet connection
- Be over 18 years old
Responsibilities:
- Complete writing tasks by continuing text paragraphs with 50-100 words
- Annotate Navajo texts produced by writing assistants, organizing transcriptions into well-structured documents
- Evaluate texts based on linguistic acceptability, output quality, hallucinations, and overall quality
Required hard skills:
- Native proficiency in Navajo
- English language proficiency to pass fluency test
- Basic computer skills to use annotation tools and internet resources
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience in writing, annotation, or similar linguistic tasks
Soft skills:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good judgment to assess text quality
Natural languages:
- Navajo (Advanced)
- English (Proficient)
Cultural skills:
- Understanding of Navajo linguistic and cultural nuances
