Validation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced IC Validation Engineer to join our global IC Validation team at Ericsson AB. The role, based in Lund, involves validating and verifying state-of-the-art ASICs. You will participate in the entire process from developing validation frameworks to executing electrical measurements and supporting product integration.
Main requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in electrical validation and component-level functional verification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Matlab
- Good programming knowledge in C and C++
- Experience with code repository management using Git
- Deep knowledge in ASICs, FPGAs, and hardware test setups
- Technical expertise in SERDES, Ethernet, PCIe, CPRI, DDR, Power, Clock, I3C, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Validate high-quality and high-performance IC products to meet standards and customer expectations
- Customize test scripts and test programs and specify test board requirements
- Create validation plans for new devices
- Participate in bring-up activities including manual debugging and investigations
- Perform core electrical and functional validation measurements across PVT
- Conduct power correlation exercises and performance testing
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide expert customer support
- Drive continuous improvements in processes, product quality, and validation methods
- Coordinate collaborations within the global ASIC validation team
