Test Engineer for International Automotive Testing Facility

We are seeking a dedicated Test Engineer for a client assignment within the automotive industry. The client is world-leading in testing advanced traffic safety systems in a unique full-scale test environment. The role involves work at test tracks outside Borås and is aimed at candidates with a strong interest in vehicles and technical competence in electronics, mechatronics, or similar.
Main requirements:
  • University engineering degree or equivalent in electronics, computer engineering, mechatronics, or communication networks
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the automotive industry
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts according to schedule (Monday–Thursday approx. 15:00–23:00)
  • Swedish B driver's license with several years of driving experience
  • Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct tests on heavy and light vehicles according to assignments
  • Contribute to development and optimization of test equipment and methods
  • Prepare and carry out customer testing with high accuracy
  • Maintain daily contact with customers and ensure their satisfaction
  • Collect and analyze test data
  • Implement new routines for testing processes
  • Work with advanced testing equipment such as driving robot systems and positioning systems
  • Adjust working hours as needed, including evening shifts
Required hard skills:
  • Engineering education in electronics, computer engineering, mechatronics or related fields
  • Experience with vehicle systems and testing methods
  • Driving license and extensive driving experience
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Ability to operate and understand advanced testing equipment including robotic systems and positioning systems
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with accredited testing and inspection according to standards
  • Documented experience with testing under accreditation requirements
  • Experience with advanced robot systems and mobile platforms in vehicles
  • Experience with positioning systems and active safety systems
