System Specialist in Active Directory

An experienced system specialist role focused on Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) within a large, complex IT environment supporting critical societal infrastructure at Trafikverket. The position involves managing, lifecycle handling, and further development of ADDS in a complex multiforest on-premises environment with 24/7 availability requirements. The role includes both immediate problem-solving and long-term security and improvement tasks, agile iterative management, involvement in development projects as a technical specialist, and coordination of ADDS security efforts.
Main requirements:
  • Higher education or equivalent experience in IT
  • Several years of relevant and current experience with Active Directory, specializing in ADDS
  • Experience with integration, implementation, and management of ADDS in complex on-premises IT environments
  • Good knowledge of other Windows server services from Server OS 2019 and later
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Proficient in spoken and written Swedish and English
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and continuously develop ADDS and its components in a large, multi-forest, on-premises Active Directory environment
  • Provide fast problem-solving support for AD operations when needed
  • Perform long-term improvement and security work on the directory service
  • Plan management work iteratively following agile methodologies
  • Act as a technical specialist in development projects related to ADDS
  • Review design, construct, and implement system technical solutions and system architecture in dialogue with infrastructure architects
  • Coordinate ADDS security efforts and maintain up-to-date knowledge of security and patching via active monitoring
