System Engineer Automation

As a System Engineer in Automation/OT, you will work with industrial control systems and process computer systems within critical infrastructure providing electricity, heating, cooling, biogas, water, and wastewater services in Linköping. You will be part of a dedicated OT (Operational Technology and Automation) team responsible for operating and developing control systems essential to several key societal processes. These systems include PLC and SCADA/DCS systems like ABB 800xA, Siemens S7, Emerson DeltaV, and Cactus. Your work will involve programming, system configuration, troubleshooting, project management, and continuous improvements to enhance operational security and efficiency.
Main requirements:
- Technical higher education or YH education focused on automation and control technology or equivalent experience
- Technical background with experience or strong motivation to develop in industrial control systems and automation
- Knowledge of industrial IT
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written
- Holding a B driver's license
Responsibilities:
- Program and configure control systems for optimized operation and monitoring
- Participate and lead projects for reprogramming, system upgrades, and modernization
- Troubleshoot and analyze system disturbances or facility problems
- Implement improvements for smarter solutions and enhanced OT security
- Work both onsite at facilities and in office settings for programming, planning, and documentation
