At Toyota Material Handling R&D, we develop next-generation autonomous forklifts and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Join our software team to develop new features easily tested on complete vehicles in our large lab area. As a Software Tester for autonomous and assistance systems, you'll develop applications for autonomous and manual forklifts, work on industrial projects and concept vehicles, and create embedded applications combined with multiple sensor inputs like LIDAR, ultrasound, and cameras. The role focuses on software testing, continuous integration, quality assurance, developing test suites for SIL/HIL, analyzing requirements to find optimal test methods, and contributing to full function delivery, including digital twin sensor emulation capabilities. Positions range from junior to senior based on background.
Main requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Interest and experience in software testing and continuous integration
  • Analytical capability and strong interest in software quality assurance
  • Working experience in software development is a plus
  • Sensor and hardware knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities:
  • Develop test suites for embedded software applications
  • Perform software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
  • Analyze software requirements to determine optimal testing methods
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams responsible for sensor fusion and autonomous driving features
  • Contribute to developing digital twin solutions for sensor emulation
  • Support delivery of full-function autonomous and driver-assist systems
Required hard skills:
