Software Developer Fluid Flow

We are looking for an experienced engineer, physicist, or applied mathematician with a strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to join our team of developers at our newly renovated office in central Stockholm. The role focuses on developing and maintaining fluid flow and heat transfer modules in COMSOL Multiphysics, contributing to marketing plans and supporting global sales efforts with possible international travel.
Main requirements:
  • Ph.D. in engineering, physical sciences, or applied mathematics with specialization in fluid mechanics
  • Experience in software development
  • Strong interest in mathematical modeling and computational physics
Responsibilities:
  • Develop new functionalities for fluid flow and heat transfer modules
  • Maintain existing features in COMSOL Multiphysics related to fluid flow
  • Contribute to marketing plans
  • Support global sales efforts
  • Travel occasionally to Europe, Asia, and the U.S. to support sales and marketing
Required hard skills:
  • Expertise in turbulent flow
  • Expertise in multiphase flow
  • Knowledge of flow in rotating machinery
  • Understanding of non-Newtonian fluids
  • Experience with nonisothermal flow
  • Knowledge of reacting flow
  • Experience with finite element methods
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics software
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Familiarity with asymptotic methods for nonlinear partial differential equations
