QRTECH AB is an innovative engineering consultancy and design firm based in Mölndal, Gothenburg. The Connected Devices team helps companies develop and launch connected products and services. They work in various sectors including industrial IoT, MedTech, connected vehicles, smart buildings, and music equipment, utilizing modern technology and wireless communication such as LTE/NB-IoT, WiFi, LoRa, and Bluetooth.
Main requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in electronics, embedded systems, or related fields.
- Experience in advanced embedded systems product development, independent in software development or architecture.
- Programming proficiency in C, board bringup, and driver development.
- Fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Ability to see the big picture, take initiative, challenge the status quo, share knowledge, and continuously learn from experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded software and contribute ideas regarding modern embedded systems platform development using open standards, modular architectures, and open source collaboration.
- Work on various applications for diverse industries, typically involving Linux-based IoT gateways, edge computers, or modern microcontrollers for battery-powered IoT sensors and control systems.
- Engage actively with open source projects such as Embedded Linux or Zephyr in embedded systems.
- Collaborate closely with embedded software team members, digital services developers, and electronic hardware designers; interest in electronics and hobbies is a strong plus.
- Integrate wireless technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile, ZigBee, and NFC into solutions.
- Implement modern methods for collaboration, efficiency, and quality, including establishing efficient automated build environments and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development methodologies.
