Senior IT Project Manager

An experienced IT Project Manager role leading a large and complex operational project within network, telecom, infrastructure, and IT. Responsible for managing all project phases focusing on schedule, quality, and coordination between internal resources, external suppliers, and operational teams. Reporting progress and risks regularly to steering committees and project owners, ensuring delivery according to set goals.
Main requirements:
  • University degree in IT, technology, computer science or systems science (at least 120p/180hp) or equivalent
  • At least 5 years experience as an IT project manager for large, complex business projects within network, telecom and/or infrastructure in the last 10 years
  • At least 5 years experience from technically complex IT and operational projects involving collaboration between business, operations, maintenance, program/project and suppliers (verified with two reference assignments)
  • At least 3 years experience working in organizations using the PM3 governance model or other management frameworks
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project through all phases focusing on timeline, quality, and coordination
  • Report progress and risks regularly to steering group and project owner
  • Support project owner with necessary documentation
  • Manage budget and resources
  • Contribute to maintenance planning and handover to operational management
Required hard skills:
  • Project management of complex IT projects
  • Experience in network, telecom, infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with PM3 or similar governance models
  • Budget and resource management
  • Risk management and reporting
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience with DWDM technology (at least 2 years)
  • Experience with business-critical IT systems with high availability and security requirements (at least 1 year)
  • Experience in operations with high protection class (at least 2 years)
