Senior Frontend Software Architect - Scania

Scania is transforming to provide sustainable transport solutions and is seeking a senior Frontend Software Architect for its Product Data Management (PDM) system. This role involves designing and developing scalable frontend solutions, driving data communication strategies, and improving technical standards within an agile and collaborative environment.
Main requirements:
  • Degree in IT or related field.
  • 5+ years of frontend development experience, including 2+ years in architectural or lead roles.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Angular frameworks.
  • Experience designing and maintaining data communication flows including RESTful APIs and real-time interactions.
  • Hands-on experience with frontend build tools (Webpack) and CI/CD systems (GitLab CI).
  • Ability to work with large codebases with high abstraction and metadata-driven configuration.
  • Fluency in English; Swedish is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex technical and business requirements related to structured product data and system integration.
  • Shape robust, generic, and scalable frontend solutions for the PDM platform.
  • Drive end-to-end data communication strategies ensuring type safety and efficient data handling.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, UX specialists, and stakeholders to design solutions.
  • Translate business goals into well-architected, tested, and maintainable frontend components and workflows.
  • Continuously improve technical standards and coding practices and mentor other developers.
