Senior Backend Developer position focused on Cloud and DevOps at Veritaz AB, based in Jönköping. The role involves developing scalable backend services, designing APIs, working with NoSQL databases, and collaborating with DevOps teams in a cloud-native environment using TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js.
Main requirements:
- 5–10+ years of experience in backend development
- Strong expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js)
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Proven experience with AWS and modern cloud technologies including Lambda, Docker, and serverless frameworks
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB and performance tuning
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and DevOps practices
- Fluency in both Swedish and English
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services in a cloud-native environment using TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js)
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with frontend and external systems
- Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB, optimizing data structures and performance
- Participate in code reviews, implement unit tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Enhance system architecture and support automation initiatives
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional DevOps teams, architects, and stakeholders
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends within backend and cloud development
