Senior Active Directory Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Active Directory Specialist to join our IT team at Västra Götalandsregionen. You will play a key role in managing and securing the organization's identity and access infrastructure, working closely with technical teams to implement and optimize AD solutions.
Main requirements:
  • At least 5 years experience working with Active Directory and related technologies
  • Relevant education or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of AD infrastructure, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and replication
  • Experience with security protocols such as Kerberos and LDAP
  • Experience with user authentication and federation services like ADFS
  • PowerShell scripting skills for AD administration
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and configure Active Directory and related services
  • Handle and implement Group Policy Objects (GPO), security settings, and user administration
  • Ensure integration between AD and internal/external systems
  • Perform security checks and maintain high-security standards
  • Lead and execute projects to improve and optimize AD infrastructure
  • Handle incident management and troubleshooting related to Active Directory
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and users
  • Participate in development and implementation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
