The role involves establishing and leading the requirements management function within a new AI Center at Region Uppsala, responsible for coordinating and ensuring responsible, value-creating use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems. The position bridges between business needs and technical teams, overseeing requirements gathering, structuring, and documentation throughout the AI lifecycle ensuring ethical, legal, and operational compliance.
Main requirements:
  • University degree in IT, information systems or relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in IT-related business development.
  • Experience leading at least two major IT projects from needs to benefit realization.
  • At least 2 years experience in regulated sectors.
  • At least 2 years of strategic and tactical work using PM3 and ITIL.
  • Proficient in spoken and written Swedish.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and ensure continuity in the newly established AI Center unit, including processes and work environment.
  • Collaborate with AI Center roles to set goals, identify obstacles, plan, take responsibility and provide feedback.
  • Capture, structure, and convert business needs and user requirements into clear requirements for development, procurement or partner development of AI systems.
  • Act as a bridge between business units and technical teams to create a shared understanding of what and why to develop.
  • Structure functional, non-functional, technical and regulatory requirements together with regional operations.
  • Establish and maintain requirements documentation and acceptance criteria ensuring traceability between business goals, user needs and technical solutions.
  • Support AI strategist and Tactical AI council in prioritization and planning of AI usage.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and manage risks, dependencies and ethical implications of AI initiatives.
Required hard skills:

  • Familiarity with PM3 and ITIL methodologies.
  • Swedish language proficiency.

  • Familiarity with Lean, SAFe, user story mapping, impact mapping methods.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and Scrum methodology.
  • Knowledge of AI maturity and lifecycle management of IT systems.
