The Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten) is undergoing an expansion phase and growth journey, seeking a Project Coordinator IT to coordinate and monitor projects primarily for the expansion of local infrastructure in garrisons within the geographical area of Northern Sweden. The role involves working within a successful team in a growing agency, with opportunities for responsibility, development, and challenges, promoting work-life balance and good health.
Main requirements:
- Education focused on IT/data at least at upper secondary school level or equivalent knowledge assessed by employer
- Good computer skills including hardware and software
- Experience working in Microsoft environment and TCP/IP networks
- Ability to express oneself in Swedish and English, in speech and writing
- B driver's license
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee projects mainly for expanding local infrastructure at garrisons within GE Norr's geographical area
- Prioritize projects in dialogue with colleagues in various technical fields
- Request quotes and communicate with contractors for planning installation projects
- Support daily operations including maintenance work and incident management in IT environments focusing on networks
Required hard skills:
- IT/data education or equivalent knowledge
- Computer hardware and software proficiency
- Experience with Microsoft environments and TCP/IP networking
- Swedish and English language proficiency
- B driver's license
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience with installation and commissioning of fiber and copper connections
- Documentation and administration of network connections
- Project management or experience in IT projects
- Experience with ITIL process-oriented work
- Experience operating large network environments, knowledge equivalent to CCNA or similar
- Knowledge of drawing techniques, CAD, reading and understanding construction drawings
- Knowledge about cabling and ducting
