NOC Operator 2nd Line

Join our team at Transtema Network Services AB as a 2nd Line NOC Operator to ensure reliable operations of mobile networks, communication networks, and electrical infrastructure from our office in Gävle. You will work daytime supporting 24/7 NOC operators, handling network alarms, incidents, and infrastructure-related operations, while contributing to system ownership and process development.
Main requirements:
- Knowledge of operation of various IP networks, wavelength networks and critical infrastructures.
- Ability to work with multiple parallel IT applications and tools in event-driven IT operational environments.
- Flexibility to work shifts including day, evening, night and weekends and provide extra support during unplanned absence or high workload.
- Basic network education such as IT focus at upper secondary school or vocational training, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in NOC, operations or support roles is meritorious.
- Certification such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent is a plus.
- Good communication skills, problem-solving, ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure.
- Proactive working style and a team player attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Support 1st line NOC operators in their daily work.
- Own and develop system issues and work methods together with Team Lead.
- Monitor incoming alarms, incidents and deviations in networks, infrastructure and support systems.
- Create, log and document fault management cases.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
- Analyze, approve and manage planned works in the networks.
- Escalate incidents to relevant parties via support systems, calls or emails.
- Manage all incidents according to agreed SLA/KPI levels.
- Serve as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for various operational incidents affecting customers.
Required hard skills:
- Foundational network knowledge including IP networks and critical infrastructures.
- Familiarity with IT operational environments and multiple IT applications.
- Basic troubleshooting and fault management skills.
- Ability to work shifts and handle high workload.
Recommended hard skills:
- Deeper knowledge in routed and switched networks.
- Experience with wavelength technology.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP or equivalent certifications from other vendors.
