Network Analyst with focus on Global Communication Paths

Join the Swedish National Defence Radio Establishment (FRA) as a Network Analyst focusing on global communications. Contribute with IT and telecommunications expertise to optimize data collection and intelligence production supporting Sweden's security and independence.
Main requirements:
  • Approved secondary education preferably with technical orientation
  • Experience in IT and/or telecommunications and networks
  • Knowledge in data and telecommunications networking
  • Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
  • Assessment, evaluation, and analysis of global cable-borne traffic
  • Conduct investigations and contribute to optimization of ongoing data collection
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting data collection, including occasional weekend work or on-call duties
  • Collaborate with other offices and departments
  • Work independently and in groups with high responsibility; travel within and outside Sweden may be required
Required hard skills:
  • Knowledge of data and telecommunication networks
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Experience analyzing IP, BGP, MPLS, and VLAN protocols
  • Experience with mobile networks (2G-5G), telephony (VoIP, C7)
Recommended hard skills:
  • Post-secondary education in networking and telecommunications
  • Programming skills in C++, Python, Bash, and/or Scala
  • Experience with analysis tools for mobile networks and data traffic such as Wireshark
  • Experience with programming/scripting/configuring Snort and Suricata
  • Driving license (B)
