Bankgirot is seeking a Linux Engineer to join their growing organization in Stockholm. As a Linux Engineer, you will play a key role in securing future payment solutions at a technology company passionate about its mission and colleagues.
Main requirements:
  • Strong interest in technology and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in Linux system administration with scripting skills (e.g., Bash).
  • Experience managing Linux virtual desktop images.
  • Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Ansible).
  • Good understanding of security practices related to Linux platform hardening.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience working in environments with high availability and continuity requirements.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework to support structured IT operations.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English languages.
  • Relevant academic education or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to pass a security clearance according to the Swedish Security Protection Act (2018:585).
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in designing and implementing a modern Greenfield platform for future-proof payment infrastructure.
  • Responsible for operation, development, and improvement of Bankgirot's Linux environment including VDI solutions.
  • Ensure IT services are delivered according to defined requirements and SLAs.
  • Act as requirement setter and coordinator towards internal and external suppliers.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Play a key role in security and hardening efforts for the Linux platform.
  • Work with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code to improve efficiency in operations and configuration.
