Junior Information Security Coordinator

The Junior Information Security Coordinator at Swedac will play a key role in developing internal information security work and supporting accreditation activities in technical and regulatory matters. This full-time permanent position is based in Borås within the IT & Service unit and involves close cooperation with the information security officer and accreditation department. The role includes advising accreditation activities, contributing to new service development, enhancing internal information security processes, monitoring cybersecurity trends and legislation, participating in digital process development and testing, and collaborating with multiple internal functions. The position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for learning and growth.
Main requirements:
- Post-secondary education in information security, IT, informatics or equivalent.
- Analytical and structured approach.
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and oral.
- Team player who also works independently with guidance.
- Interest in information security and relevant regulations such as NIS2, ISO/IEC 27000 series, MSB regulations, and relevant EU laws.
- Interest in monitoring external developments and technology's role in societal security.
- Prior experience in the field is meritorious.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to accreditation activities during assessments and supervision as an internal advisor.
- Participate in developing new services within the accreditation department.
- Develop and support Swedac's internal information security work including classification, risk management, controls, methodology support, and documentation.
- Monitor developments in cybersecurity, legislation and technology, and develop relevant competencies.
- Participate in development and testing of digital processes, security measures, and projects.
- Provide support and collaborate with multiple internal functions.
Required hard skills:
- Knowledge of information security principles and practices.
- Understanding of relevant cybersecurity regulations including NIS2, ISO/IEC 27000 series, MSB regulations, and EU legislation.
- Ability to perform risk management and apply controls.
- Capability to work with digital processes and security testing.
