As an IT/OT System Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will join a skilled team of engineers responsible for deploying and securing next-generation control systems within HVDC projects. Your role includes integrating and implementing features that meet customer and market requirements, contributing significantly to deployments of the MACH control platform in large HVDC project deliveries.
Main requirements:
- University degree in relevant technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience with human machine interface design and testing using platforms like Aveva, Microscada or similar
- Proficiency in SCADA, automation design and testing, familiarity with standards such as IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850 or similar
- Expertise in databases and high-availability solutions
- Experience with network equipment including firewalls, switches, GPS clocks, and knowledge of redundant network designs and protocols
Responsibilities:
- Participate in system, network, and cybersecurity design and implementation for HVDC projects
- Build complete network and system infrastructures to support operations ensuring cybersecurity standards are met
- Mentor junior associates and promote knowledge sharing initiatives (depending on experience)
- Identify and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement (depending on experience)
Required hard skills:
