IT Technician with expertise in operations and networks

An IT technician role involving responsibility for daily IT operations, troubleshooting, local network management, user support, network communication, security, and related tasks within the public sector environment. Main requirements:
- Secondary education or equivalent with four years relevant work experience
- OR higher education in IT (e.g. computer engineering) with at least two years relevant work experience
- Very good knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security
- Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
- Knowledge of case management systems (e.g. Easit GO or ServiceNow)
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily IT operations function smoothly
- Troubleshoot and evaluate faults and determine best solutions
- Serve as local IT technician focusing on operation and development of the authority's local network environment and communication between computers within the same building
- Support and assist users
- Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, sometimes globally
- Test new products and inform users about updates
- Install and configure computers managing network communication such as routers, servers, and workstations
- Work on IT operation security (e.g. installing firewalls)
- Install software and adapt it to the network
- Technically manage IT equipment in conference rooms, e.g. video meeting systems
- Handle backup management
- Administer standard systems like mail and calendar
- Administer backup, storage, and application servers
Required hard skills:
- Computer hardware and peripherals expertise
- Operating systems knowledge
- Networking and network communication proficiency
- Information security understanding
- MS Office or equivalent basics
- Experience with case management systems like Easit GO or ServiceNow
