IT Technician with Expertise in Operations and Networking

An opportunity to work as an IT technician in the public sector, responsible for daily IT operations, network maintenance, and user support. The role requires strong IT knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting, and communication skills in Swedish and English.
Main requirements:
- Secondary education or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant work experience OR University degree in IT (e.g., Computer Engineering) or equivalent plus at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communications, and information security
- Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Easit GO or ServiceNow)
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring smooth daily IT operations
- Troubleshoot and assess optimal solutions for technical issues
- Act as local IT technician focusing on operation and development of the organization's local network environment and intra-building communication
- Provide user support and assistance
- Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, sometimes global
- Test new products and communicate updates to users
- Install and configure computers handling network communication such as routers, servers, and workstations
- Work on securing IT operations, such as installing firewalls
- Install and adapt software to the network
- Technical responsibility for IT equipment in conference areas, e.g., video meeting systems
- Manage backups
- Administer standard systems such as email and calendar
- Administer backup, storage, and application servers
Required hard skills:
- Strong IT knowledge covering computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security
- Experience with ticketing systems like Easit GO or ServiceNow
- Basic MS Office or equivalent skills
Recommended hard skills:
