IT Technician with expertise in operations and network

Opportunity for an experienced IT technician to work in public sector IT operations, responsible for daily IT management, network maintenance, user support, and IT security.
Main requirements:
  • Have either a high school or equivalent education with four years of relevant work experience, or a university degree in IT (e.g., computer engineering) with at least two years relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office or similar.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Easit GO, ServiceNow).
  • Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily IT operations are functioning.
  • Perform troubleshooting and assess best solutions to problems.
  • Act as on-site IT technician managing local network environment and intra-building communication.
  • Provide support to users.
  • Manage data communication, operations, and data security in larger network environments, sometimes global.
  • Test new products and inform users of updates.
  • Install and configure network devices such as routers, servers, and workplaces.
  • Work to secure IT operations, including firewall installation.
  • Install and tailor software for the network.
  • Manage IT equipment in conference areas, including video meeting systems.
  • Handle backups.
  • Administer standard systems such as mail and calendar.
  • Administer backup, storage, and application servers.
Required hard skills:
  • Strong knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, networks, communication, and information security.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
  • Experience with ticketing systems like Easit GO or ServiceNow.
