IT Technician for the Naval Division

The position involves working as a system technician supporting the Naval Staff's Sea Surveillance Center in Visby, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, operation, and modifications of systems and equipment. The role includes participation in naval exercises and being on-call when needed, with initial extensive training both in Visby and other locations.
Main requirements:
  • 3-year upper secondary education with IT/technical focus or equivalent knowledge
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Experience working with IT-based systems and troubleshooting
  • Driver's license B
Responsibilities:
  • Independently or in teams perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, modifications, and documentation of systems and equipment
  • Proactively work on development and maintenance of systems and equipment
  • Daily collaboration with Naval Staff personnel and other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces, FMV, and defense industry as needed
  • Participation in exercises and standby duties when necessary
Required hard skills:
  • Experience with IT-based systems and troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of system installation and configuration
  • Driver's license B
