IT Security Officer

The Swedish Armed Forces is seeking an IT Security Officer to strengthen Sweden's defense capabilities in IT security. This role involves coordinating and developing IT and information security work, participating in accreditation processes for IT systems, creating guidelines and policies, and providing expert advice and training.
Main requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent experience in IT or related fields
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in IT security
  • Experience interpreting regulations and translating them into IT system and operational requirements
  • Experience with security standards and regulations such as GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001 or similar
  • Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Swedish citizenship
  • Class B driver's license
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and develop IT and information security work
  • Participate in IT system accreditation processes by reviewing requirements and creating/reviewing documentation
  • Develop guidelines and policies related to IT security
  • Provide expert support and training within IT security to the organization
Required hard skills:
  • IT security knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of security standards such as GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001
  • Ability to interpret regulations related to IT systems and security
  • Documentation and review skills related to IT security
Recommended hard skills:
  • Certifications in IT security (e.g., CISM)
  • Experience with IT system accreditation processes
  • Experience working with security in the Swedish Armed Forces or other government agencies
