The IT Project Manager will lead complex IT projects related to finance and HR business systems within the Swedish County Administrative Boards' IT department. This role requires translating business needs into technical solutions, managing project delivery, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across multiple regions. Main requirements:
  • Academic education in IT or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of experience leading complex IT projects in large organizations
  • Experience with business system implementation
  • Experience working with steering groups in complex client organizations
Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects related to economy and HR systems within a public sector environment
  • Communicate and coordinate with steering groups and stakeholders inside and outside the County Administrative Boards
  • Manage projects considering conditions and requirements of public sector organizations consisting of multiple authorities
  • Contribute to building shared competencies and develop the organization
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively
  • Motivate and empower project teams to achieve common goals
  • Coordinate and follow up on work, creating engagement and participation
  • Maintain a holistic view from project delivery to operations
Required hard skills:
  • Project management in IT with emphasis on business systems
  • Implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) or similar business systems
  • Experience with steering committees and governance in public sector projects
  • Competence in handling complex project environments across multiple authorities
