Support and develop IT solutions for research and education at University of Gothenburg, serving as a key link between IT unit and core academic activities, focusing on needs analysis, IT guidance, and digital transformation including AI.
Main requirements:
  • Education in IT with focus on computer science, systems science, or equivalent combined with relevant work experience.
  • Broad IT technical background with understanding of applications, systems, platforms, and network environments.
  • Experience leading or coordinating assignments or small IT projects in complex organizations.
  • Experience independently conducting needs analyses and managing requirements from start to finish.
  • Good understanding of digitalization and AI and genuine interest in applying new technology practically.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between IT unit and university's core research and education activities.
  • Work closely with researchers and teachers to identify needs and requirements and ensure IT solutions meet actual needs.
  • Provide advice on IT, digital solutions, and AI.
  • Coordinate and lead smaller IT projects or assignments from needs analysis to finished solution.
  • Develop and maintain the IT unit's service catalog.
  • Communicate clearly and pedagogically with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work both independently and in teams to contribute to a non-hierarchical and supportive work environment.
Required hard skills:
