The Security Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seeking an Information Security Officer. The role involves strengthening Sweden's and Europe's security through analysis and assessment of security protection needs in accordance with international security commitments. The position includes issuing international security certificates, preparing security matters within the Government Offices and with other Swedish authorities and external actors, integrating Sweden into NATO, and representing Sweden in negotiations within NATO, EU, and ESA frameworks.
Main requirements:
  • Academic education in technical computer science or information security.
  • At least 3 years of experience with regulations, accreditation of IT systems, and international information security work.
  • At least 2 years experience as an administrator or case officer within the Government Offices or another relevant authority.
  • Ability to independently advance complex issues and processes.
  • High security awareness and experience handling protected information and technology.
  • Swedish citizenship.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and assess security protection needs according to international security protection commitments.
  • Issue international security certificates.
  • Prepare security matters within the Government Offices and collaborate with other Swedish authorities and external actors.
  • Integrate Sweden into NATO.
  • Represent Sweden in negotiations within NATO, EU, and ESA frameworks.
Required hard skills:

  • Experience in international information security work.
  • Security clearance (security-sensitive position).
