Join Karlskrona municipality as an Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator to lead and coordinate the municipality's efforts in protecting information assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing a strong security culture. Work with various internal and external stakeholders in a key role within the municipal leadership department.
Main requirements:
  • Relevant academic degree (e.g., law, information security, system science, IT security)
  • Several years of experience in information security, data protection and/or IT security
  • Strong knowledge of applicable legislation such as GDPR, OSL, NIS2
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Swedish
  • Experience working in the public sector
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and develop the municipality's information security work according to MSB recommendations and ISO 27000 series, legislation, political goals, and internal governance
  • Maintain and further develop governing documents and routines related to information security and data protection
  • Collaborate with data protection officers in departments and function as an advisor on data protection and personal data processing
  • Lead the network of data protection officers
  • Participate with other professionals in developing risk and vulnerability analyses, incident management, and support systematic security work
  • Conduct training, communication efforts, and awareness-raising activities within the organization
  • Follow up compliance, perform internal controls, and contribute to development projects related to digitalization and security
Required hard skills:
  • Knowledge of GDPR, OSL, NIS2 and related legislation
  • Experience with ISO 27000 standards and MSB recommendations
  • Competence in risk and vulnerability analysis and incident management
  • Ability to develop and maintain policy documentation and routines
  • Experience in public sector information security and data protection
