As an Industrial Cybersecurity Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will enhance the security of manufacturing, assembly, and testing sites across multiple global divisions by assessing, implementing, coordinating, and reviewing cybersecurity controls. The role involves traveling internationally to identify vulnerabilities, recommend mitigations, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance with company and regulatory cybersecurity standards.
Main requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, information security or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience and formal training in information security management systems (ISMS) and Industrial Cybersecurity Management Systems (CSMS) covering OT/ICS.
  • Knowledge of security engineering principles, cybersecurity assessment methodologies, control implementation and validation, and system lifecycle practices.
  • Professional level certifications in ISO/IEC 27001 and IEC 62443.
  • Proficient knowledge in information security risk management and threat modeling.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; Swedish language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain internal cybersecurity requirements and ensure compliance across manufacturing, assembly, and testing facilities.
  • Conduct on-site cybersecurity assessments and support project-specific cybersecurity needs through regular field visits.
  • Plan, develop, and implement technical controls, procedures, and policies related to information security and OT/ICS compliance or regulatory standards.
  • Interpret, design, and enforce cybersecurity controls aligned with OT/ICS security standards.
  • Follow up on penetration test findings to remediate identified cybersecurity gaps in coordination with the Cybersecurity Team.
  • Support Threat Intelligence and Detection Engineering with threat modeling to identify security threats and vulnerabilities, assess their criticality, and prioritize remediation strategies.
