Lead the Network Analysis Regional Grid North-Central department at Vattenfall Eldistribution to develop and maintain the regional electrical grid supporting Sweden's electrification and transition to fossil-free energy.
Main requirements:
  • Minimum five years of leadership experience within network operations or other infrastructure-intensive sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead through others and achieve results collaboratively.
  • Experience in driving change and developing both the organization and individuals.
  • Communicative and attentive leadership style that inspires and engages.
  • Strategic ability to assess needs, prioritize initiatives, and make well-founded decisions.
  • Experience working in process-heavy operations related to facility investments.
  • Experience representing the company externally at panels, customer meetings, etc.
  • Implemented challenging organizational changes.
  • Relevant technical academic education, preferably in electrical power engineering.
  • Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • Possession of a valid driving license (B-category).
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Network Analysis Regional Grid North-Central department to meet strategic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, especially Network Analysis South, Asset Management, Customer and Market, and Project Operations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize capacity, availability, and network structural issues, and develop measures to ensure a robust and efficient electrical system.
  • Perform field-relevant management of the company's calculation system PSS/E.
  • Requirement specification and ownership of the Planning Handbook for Regional Grid.
  • Participate in system-related projects such as FLEX and Public Network Development Plans within Asset Optimisation unit.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions as a member of the Network Optimisation management team.
  • Foster an inclusive and trustful leadership culture that promotes team engagement and personal growth.
  • Lead change initiatives to implement sustainable and effective new working methods.
Required hard skills:
  • Leadership experience in network or infrastructure-intensive operations.
  • Technical academic background, preferably in electrical power engineering.
  • Experience with process-heavy operational environments linked to investment projects.
  • Experience with external representation of the company.
