Main requirements:
  • Experience in vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting strategies
  • Knowledge of CAN bus, UDS, OBD, DoIP, and vehicle electronics
  • Experience with diagnostic tools (e.g. VIDA, Tech Tool, ODIS or similar)
  • Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python, XML, CAPL)
  • University or master’s degree in vehicle technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
Responsibilities:
  • Develop troubleshooting flows and DTC logic
  • Analyze field data from vehicles in operation
  • Create test cases for diagnostic functions
  • Support development of diagnostic tools and service applications
  • Evaluate new diagnostic strategies
  • Document for workshops
  • Test and verify in vehicle and lab environments
Required hard skills:
  • Vehicle diagnostics expertise
  • CAN bus, UDS, OBD, DoIP knowledge
  • Diagnostic tool proficiency (VIDA, Tech Tool, ODIS, etc.)
  • Basic programming and scripting (Python, XML, CAPL)
Recommended hard skills:
  • Experience from aftermarket or workshop environments
  • Knowledge of emission regulations and diagnostic-related legal requirements
  • Experience in vehicle development within larger organizations
